High Level Plot
The players have just arrived at Bamomaki School of Magic and Wonders, and are about to be presented into the school.
There, they meet Arthur Nimblewick, the headmaster, who introduces them to the school and presents what studying at the school is all about, and gives each of them the Recall Bracelet, which protects them from severe damage at the school.
The players then meet a couple of characters, Nana Novelle and Sparky Spellburst, who present their personality to them: Sparky acts like he is very talented since his father is one of the best wizards of all time; While Nana acts shy and nervous.
Players then go to the nearby shopping district to purchase their materials.
They purchase:
- A wand
- School Books
- A familiar and a book on that familiar's care
- A deck of beginner magic cards
After they finish their purchase, they bump into Nana Novelle and notice that she is being bullied by Sparky, as he complains about her ineptitude towards basic education towards magic schools and how she's making a big fuss over buying books, and how he has no time to deal with that.
At this point, the players may intervene by either using their familiars or a card from their deck of magic cards to teach Sparky a lesson.
After dealing with the situation, the players, Sparky, and Nana each go towards the school to prepare for their first class: Basic Spellcasting.
In this class they deal with Arthur Nimblewick himself, who uses the first lesson to guide them upon how to use their tools:
- The Recall Bracelet
- The deck of magic cards
- Introduction to how spellcasting works
- How to cast a basic light spell
After which, for the next lesson the students are taken to the nearby grounds where several farms and small villages can be seen.
During this, Arthur Nimblewick explains how these are the student grounds, where students may buy or rent their own living quarters as well as their farming area, and that they're allowed to stay even after graduation, as this area is constantly expanded upon over the years. He also explains that students will earn a small wage as they study, which can be increased by how effective they become as students. Essentially, higher results equal higher income.
Then, Arthur explains the importance of students caring for their familiars as well as their own living grounds, as they will need them in top shape to be able to graduate in a few years.
After this, the students are given a Time Block to inspect their living quarters as well as tidy up and settle in.
During this Time Block, the students are able to find a small house for each of them, with not a lot of room, but with a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, alchemy room, small living room, and a farm right next to the house.
After this, the students go back to school and begin their next lesson: Cooking.
In this lesson, professor Diana Ditsickle talks about how Bamomaki is one of the best places to cook at, due to the land's powerful magic, as well as how to produce basic fruit shakes, and how to identify the effects that ingredients have on the students, in order to find their own recipes.
After this, lunchtime starts, and the players have a chance to explore the school as well as eat. They're also allowed to talk to either Sparky or Nana, depending on who they prefer to talk to.
